Make Money Through Blogging!

There are many ways to make a little money through blogging. I wanted to let you in on my favorite and easy ways that I use on this blog. If you're a new blogger and want to see if you can make a little extra money through your blog, check out these ideas below:
  1. Become an affiliate of some great programs such as MySavings Media or Logical Media. These are by far the most simple and easiest affiliate programs I've found.
  2. Sign up for SwagBucks and refer your friends. This is a simple one! You earn the swagbucks they earn up to 100 bucks. Say you refer 5 friends and they earn 100 bucks each, you've just earned 500 bucks without lifting a finger!
  3. Check other websites that you frequent such as Amazon.com or others and scroll down to the bottom. If the website lists "Affiliate Program" or something of the sorts, click on it and see if you can become an affiliate. If they approve you, you earn a percentage of the sale. It's that easy! Companies want to get their name out there and advertise, so they offer incentives to those who post on the website.
Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions. Just email me at thecoupongame(at)yahoo(dot)com!

Discount Shoppin' at Books-A-Million - A Free Tote Bag!!

Low prices on books

I needed to run to Books-A-Million yesterday to finish off some last minute Christmas shopping. Look what I got for FREE!!

(A cool nifty environmentally safe bag!)

What a blessing to have a fabulous 20% off coupon in stow from Sunday's paper! The coupon actually stated (good through 12/24) that you receive 20% off whatever you can fit in their "green" store bag, plus receive the bag for free. It's a pretty cute bag and could easily be used for groceries. Honestly, I'm beginning to get sick of dealing with all those plastic bags. On top of the 20% discount, I have a 10% off Educator's Discount by being a homeschooler. That's a total of 30% off!!

So, I picked up a few books for my niece, placed them in the bag, and headed off to the cash register. In my family, we typically stay around $10 per niece/nephew, so this was my goal. I pulled out my coupon to give to the cashier, and he said, "Oh, don't worry about it, I've got one scanned into the system already." Sure enough they rang up at $9.52!! Woohoo!!

Now, if you received the same ad in your paper from Books-A-Million, I would think you should be able to put a pack of gum in the bag and get the bag for free, plus pay minimally for the gum. How many times could you do that?! I could stock up on some "green" bags. FYI: By "green," I mean environmentally safe.

Here's the small print on the coupon:
Coupon expires December 24, 2008! Coupon must be presented at time of purchase to receive 20% off everything you can fit in the green tote bag. Limit one coupon per person, per visit. Valid on in-store purchases only. Not valid with other coupons or discounts. Cannot be used for the purchase of gift cards.

I asked about the Educator's Discount, and the cashier had no issue, so I think the "Not valid with other coupons or discounts." is talking about other forms of coupons or discounts. From what I understand, the Educator's discount is always allowed.

Money Saving Tip! - So, what is a CVS CRT??!!

Many of you have emailed me or asked about the CVS CRT's that I use on my Publix shopping trips. Unless you're familiar with CVS, you may not know about these fabulous coupons. Honestly, I was CVSing for a couple months before I knew about these.

So, today's Money Saving Tip is all about saving money through these wonderful $10/$50 or other CVS CRT coupons.

First of all, CVS stands for the CVS Pharmacy (pretty self-explanatory). CRT stands for "Cash Register Tape," which can print at the end of your receipt OR if your store has a price-check machine, you can also scan your CVS card at it and coupons will print from the side.

Alyssa at Keeping the Kingdom First posted about these magic coupon machines HERE. She even included video, so if you're a visual person like me, this should be a great help! If you're just starting to CVS shop, you'll definitely want to check it out! Her post is how I learned about this lovely magic coupon machine!

FYI: I've been able to scan my CVS card up to 4 times (on a good day), but definitely twice per day! You never know what you'll get - and, you might just receive a $10 off $50 purchase coupon! Have fun!!

Do you have a Money Saving Tip?! Link to it below and be sure to link back to this post within your post. If you don't have a blog, please leave a comment with your money saving tip. I look forward to hearing your great ideas!!

Out of Printer Ink? Check out these prices!

With all of the coupon printing that I do, I hate to overspend on my printer ink. Of course, whenever given the option, I always print in Grayscale to save on my color cartridge, but eventually the black needs to be replaced. Office Depot and Staples both offer a $3 coupon when you bring in your name brand empty cartridges, but honestly, unless I'm going that way, I don't like to make the extra trip.

So, I started to do a little searching online and found that there are great deals to be had on ink! I've run across a couple of sites that offer great deals on ink. They are:
All-Ink.com
So far this is the best deal I've come across. However, since I don't expect the whole blog world to have the same old HP printer that I have, you may also want to check out:
InkSmile.com
